Geeka Media Started As a Hobby YouTube Channel In 2013

Geeka Media’s rootes can be traced back to the inception of the GeekaWhat YouTube channel by James Cousins, initially started in January of 2013. The channel served as an outlet for James’ personal content, before developing into a PC hardware-focussed outlet specifically in 2016.

From here on in, James witnessed increased levels of success with the channel, and started to quickly build an audience interested in everything-PC building. Finding his feet, James grew the channel past key subscriber and viewership milestones, and worked on his first branded projects. 2016 was the same year that Geeka Media Group was incorporated as a UK Limited Company, and thus… the start if a media publisher was born!

Over the following years, the business quickly grew with the addition of new staff

Three key pillars that define us .

Our way of working is centred around three core values and rules. This ensures we drive the best results for brands and our audience.

Authenticity.

GeekaWhat started with a teenager sharing his passion for the world of PC gaming and hardware online from his bedroom, and those roots define us today.

Our writers are free to write their honest thoughts about every product through our doors.

Integrity.

Our content, opinions and product recommendations can never be bought. In fact, our sites remain some of the most ad-light in the industry, putting the content first – and nothing else.

Competence.

We carefully select and train our writers to be up to date with the latest information and testing procedures. This ensures our product recommendations always come off the back of robust testing.
