About Us

Geeka Media Group is a social media content production business founded by James Cousins back in 2016 at the age of 15. The business has quickly evolved in the years since, working with over 50 clients and serving content to ever-growing online audiences, powered by a team of 4 employees.

Alongside working with Midlands-based SMEs, Geeka Media work with some of the biggest brands in tech all with the common goal of making great content. We love tech, we love video and we LOVE social.

In the latest phase of expansion here at Geeka Media, we invested ~£20,000 in a new studio space and edit suite. This has allowed us to make the transition from 4K to 6K production standard, where required by clients, with more streamlined production processes. We have also adopted new software suites, adding to our strong, existing capability with the Adobe Creative Cloud suite. This move has seen the edit team trained in Davincii Resolve & Blackmagic’s Fusion software, further advancing the abilities of the team to produce future-proof content for clients and audiences globally.

We also have the ability to host clients on site in dedicated, serviced meeting rooms and room to expand headcount through either more permanent or freelance production staff. In addition to this, the business has expanded into multi-cam live production for the first-time, allowing us to livestream events within a certain scope at Full HD to a vast array of online streaming platforms – including custom & proprietary streaming solutions.

We’re really excited for the next chapter of the business, as we head into a new era of content production and consumption, in a more digital and content heavy world than ever before!

Meet the Team

James Cousins - Founder

James founded Geeka Media Group Ltd. back in 2016. The business was incorporated in a spare bedroom at the same time as James focussed his efforts on his GCSEs. Now, 5 years later, James has lead the business on a constant growth trajectory – maintaining many of the clients which first backed the company 5 years ago.

Outside of work, James is passionate about Swimming, local Rugby Union, travelling and Skiing!

Jake Griffin - Video Editor

The first full-time team member, Jake Griffin joined the team back in September 2020 and now takes a leading role in editing together many of the videos we shoot.

Jake has a keen eye for detail and has pioneered internal moves to new software platforms, hardware optimisation and new production workflows.

Jake is hugely passionate about travelling and photography.

Dan Maxwell - Video Editor

Dan started his work with Geeka Media as an addition to his extensive freelance portfolio, helping us during an exceptionally busy Q4 period for the business.

At the end of the freelance term, we were delighted to bring Dan on board longer-term.

He’s an absolute wizz in After Effects, a dab hand behind any camera and an avid longboarder.

Harry Coleman - Junior Account Manager

Harry is the latest addition to the Geeka Media team, working with clients on the tech & social sides of the business.

Harry manages the day to day of relationships, alongside hardware performance testing and working on the newly launched, geekawhat.com website.

He’s also a dab hand at Warzone & APEX Legends, both inside and outside of work!
